George Salibarecently, a TikTok user, shared an experience he had with a gearhead who was trying to buy a car and how he was able to come to an agreement that satisfied both of them.

George shares the back-and-forth he recently had with a customer regarding a 2021 Acura RDX that was offered for $39,999 in the video, which has received over 1.4 million views.

The buyer, however, wanted to drastically reduce that price, and he made an initial offer of $28,500, including taxes and fees, saying he would be leaving with the purchase completed.

The total cost of the car, including taxes, registration, and any other expenses, is referred to as “out the door.”

To avoid unpleasant surprises later, astute purchasers usually pay more attention to this figure than the car’s stated price.

Saliba, however, retorts that he would hardly turn a profit at that price because he paid $27,500 for the automobile himself.

Saliba declines the buyer’s persistent offer of $29,500, focusing on the car’s internet price and asserting that he is a good returning client.

With a final total that includes taxes and fees, the buyer remains firm and offers $31,000 out the door, portraying it as a reasonable compromise.

After pushing for $31,500, Saliba finally accepts $31,400, and they shake hands.

The exchange left many social media users in shock, according to the comments section.
