Man buys SUV for $70k and it instantly has ‘many warning lights’ – then he wants to sell but runs into major problem
After spending $70,000 on an SUV, a man encountered numerous issues that left him furious.
After paying an exorbitant amount for the brand-new Fisker Ocean Extreme, the driver encountered the first of many difficulties.
After obtaining the car’s keys, auto retailer Edmunds made a list of the SUV’s annoying defects.
“A software upgrade in March 2024 was intended to improve [the] key fob’s performance, but they stated that we are still having serious problems locking and unlocking the Ocean.
Additionally, the car won’t move until you hold the key next to the steering column because it won’t recognize it until you’re inside.

“With poor-quality maps and outdated destination information, the TomTom-powered navigation was no better.
Even worse, it never seemed possible to get air blowing exactly where you wanted it to, and the only method to modify the air vents was through the screen.
“It was also problematic that many of the features that were promised and listed on the Ocean’s spec sheet never arrived, including adaptive cruise control and voice commands.”
When the buyer attempted to recoup the money he had spent on the car, things became even worse.
“Needless to say, we won’t miss the Ocean,” he said.
“Fortunately, we can at least trade it in, but the appraisal offer we received—just $13,500—was difficult to accept.
“That means the value of our Ocean has dropped by more than 80% in 11 months.”
It follows a man who discovered he was unable to drive an automobile he had purchased from a dealership.
In actuality, three clients of a New York car dealership in Nanuet were compelled to park their recently acquired cars because they were prohibited from being driven.
Route 59 Motors allegedly neglected to provide three buyers with vehicle titles, which prevented them from registering their new automobiles and obtaining license plates, according to ABC’s7 On Your Side.
