Man dies from self-inflicted gunshot wound at Elizabeth Park

Fox 2: Trenton, MichiganA self-inflicted gunshot wound inside Elizabeth Park on Saturday night claimed the life of an Ann Arbor man.

When the Trenton Police Department arrived at the park at around 7 p.m. to deal with a “suicidal subject,” they found a car that contained the man’s body. It was a “apparent” self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the police.

No other details were made public in order to prevent identifying the individual before his family was informed. He was from Ann Arbor and was in his 50s.

On Saturday night, the park will not be open. On Sunday morning, it will reopen.
