Man found frozen to death at bus stop as winter storm kills 6 & Americans brace for second round of bitter cold and snow
At least six people have died as a result of ice roadways and extremely cold temperatures caused by an arctic blast.
While frantically seeking refuge from Winter Storm Blair, which is expected to deliver even more extreme weather to the United States, one terrible victim was discovered frozen to death at a bus stop.
Blair dumped snow on cities including Baltimore, Maryland, and Washington, DC, as it moved from the Midwest and south into the mid-Atlantic on Monday.
It delivered blistering temperatures and feet of snow to parts of Kansas, Missouri, and Texas the day before.
As further deaths are revealed, those left in Blair’s valiant route have been advised to avoid the roads and seek shelter.
According to ABC affiliate KTRK, a man passed away at a bus stop in Houston on a night when the temperature seemed like it had plummeted as low as 18 degrees.

Although the victim’s origin is unknown, the tragedy caused alarm among the nation’s homeless population.
Scott Arthur, a volunteer with the Star of Hope group, stated, “We plan for that ahead of time because we gave away over a hundred coats and 100 blankets.”
“We also plan for the fact that we don’t have a lot of room in the shelter.”
Blair fatalities have increased in neighboring Missouri due to a startling surge in weather-related traffic fatalities.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that a 61-year-old man died in Jackson County on Sunday after he was hit by a truck that was sliding down the slippery road after he got out of a dump truck.
While crossing a street in Holt County on Saturday, a 33-year-old man was struck by a parked semi-truck that fell down a hill and killed him.
On the same day, a semi-truck struck a motorist traveling in the opposite direction after skidding out of control on a snow-covered road.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the truck driver was unharmed in the collision, while the 28-year-old citizen died.
Two additional youths lost their lives in a horrific crash in Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday.
According to KHP, the winter storm caused the automobile carrying the 24-year-old man and the 26-year-old woman to go down into an embankment.
Since Blair blew over, there have been other terrible deaths besides traffic accidents. A child died in Illinois while tubing on the recently fallen snow.
The 10-year-old was flung against a boulder after being hurled out of the tube while being dragged by an all-terrain vehicle.
In an effort to spare lives, several truck drivers have promised to halt deliveries and wait out the storm.
Los Angeles driver Michael Taylor believed that the situation in Cincinnati, Ohio, was “too dangerous” for him to continue traveling.
