HOMESTEAD, Florida — Following a disagreement at work last month, authorities in Homestead say the 30-year-old male beat the victim several times with a golf club. He was taken into custody on Tuesday.

According to Homestead police, at approximately 10:30 a.m. on April 21, in the vicinity of the 700 block of Northwest 12th Street, officers responded to a report of aggravated battery involving the kidnapping of the victim.

According to an arrest report, the victim informed police that Tavarus Travon Dantzler-Falconer’s mother hired him to do handicrafts at her house and that she gave him a $2,000 advance.

However, according to authorities, the victim was hospitalized and unable to work on the day he was meant to start the job.

A dispute over the victim’s absence from work broke out when Dantzler-Falconer showed up at the victim’s house later that day, according to the report.
