Man recovering after carbon monoxide poisoning that killed his coworker

While working in an Almont barn, Anthony Reid inhaled carbon monoxide and survived. Not so fortunate was one of his colleagues.

FOX 2: ALMONT, MICHAfter being poisoned by carbon monoxide on January 3, Anthony Reid is fortunate to be alive.

Reid and a coworker who had died from inhaling the fumes were discovered in a barn after they had been unconscious for several hours.

Oleksii Lichykaki, a Ukrainian immigrant who was married and had two sons, was the other victim. When Lichykaki passed away, he was residing in Troy.

Reid and his family say the path to full recovery is long.

Reid’s family established a fund to assist with bills and medical costs as he heals.
