Man Stabbed in Unprovoked Attack on Upper Manhattan Subway
On Monday morning, a man was stabbed in an unprovoked attack while riding a northbound A train in Upper Manhattan. The incident took place at around 5:30 a.m. near the 163rd Street–Amsterdam Avenue station in Washington Heights. The victim, in his 30s, was suddenly attacked by a man described as bald and wearing a gray sweatshirt, according to New York City police.
The suspect stabbed the victim in the left arm before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, the victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem and is currently in stable condition. Authorities are actively investigating the case, and the suspect remains at large.
