Man Who Fled Lynn Haven PD Apprehended After Pursuit in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Florida: According to the Lynn Haven Police Department, a man who escaped from a traffic stop on March 14th in Lynn Haven was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday.

On March 14, at approximately seven in the morning, Lynn Haven police made an effort to stop a vehicle on SR 77. The car’s driver did not stop; instead, they sped through the early morning traffic on their way southward from the area.

Because the pursuit was endangering the public, the authorities decided to use cameras to follow the vehicle instead. He appeared to be traveling in the direction of Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport.

The car had stopped in a construction zone close to the airport a few hours earlier, and authorities attempted to speak with the driver.

However, the driver, named Micheal Scott II, 32, took off on foot and ran into a nearby forested area. The suspect could not be located, even with K-9 assistance from the police.

Scott already had outstanding warrants for burglary and aggravated stalking out of Escambia County.

The charges of Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, Attaching an Unassigned Tag, Fleeing and Eluding, and Resisting an Officer Without Using Violence were added by the Lynn Haven Police Department.

The suspect was apprehended by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Pensacola on Wednesday.
