Massive 480ft superyacht worth £30million can purposely SINK itself – but it does so for a very good reason

At the touch of a button, this enormous superyacht, valued at an astounding thirty million dollars, sinks, but for an incredible cause.

The industrial ship-turned-megayacht is seen in unbelievable photos submerging itself to accommodate a variety of vehicles from the water or on land on its aft.

The ship, which has the odd name OK, is designed to accommodate a staggering 20 people who can sail, drive, or fly on board because of its partial sinking capability.

OK started out as a yacht transport ship in Japan in 1982, and despite its renovation, it is still competent to do so.

The industrial vessel’s transformation into a thirty million dollar work of art started in 2019 and was completed in 2022.

With its open deck area, the 480-foot semi-submersible can accommodate any car its affluent owner wishes to load upon it.

This might include a seaplane or even a sailing vessel up to 151 feet long.

The yacht’s remarkable capacity to submerge its aft platform, which is located in the middle, allows maritime boats to cruise directly onto the board without any issues.

In order to enable the load to float over the deck, the ship must take on water ballast.

As soon as it is in place, the water ballast is removed from the ship, and the deck and cargo resume their position above the water line.

The 40-ton crane is used to launch and recover the vessels, so it wouldn’t be an issue if visitors brought smaller toys and tenders.

The ship is fully convertible from land to sea thanks to an opulent car ramp that lets road vehicles onto the deck.

Additionally, OK features an opulent indoor pool with glass windows that give guests the impression that they are swimming in the sea.

There are four aquariums, a botanical garden, and an outdoor movie theater.

In an odd addition, the area can be utilized as an outdoor tennis court after the aft deck is removed.

The forward section of the opulent ship’s structure houses the accommodations for both guests and personnel, with space for up to 20 people.

The odd watercraft was first constructed by Japanese commercial shipbuilder Oshima Shipbuilding as a transportation ship with the name Super Servant 3.

However, OK was created following a makeover by Timur Bozca, an exterior designer and the recipient of the 2015 Young Designer of the Year award.

When asked about his invention, Bozca said: “The vision was to create a floating island concept that could hold many toys – even a seaplane or another superyacht – without breaking the powerful outlines of the previous version.”

OK has been based in the Karmarine Shipyard in Turkey in recent years, but it’s unclear where the amazing ship is now.
