Massive inferno rips through water park on Costa Del Sol as slide goes up in flames & smoke seen for miles

After a water park in a well-known British vacation destination caught fire, a PLUME of smoke could be seen for miles.

The Costa Del Sol water park was destroyed by the fire, which started during renovations.

The Speed Racer slide was where the fire began.

According to the fire department, a spark while welding is what sparked it.

Although there have been no reports of injuries, there is reportedly significant material damage.

Complete destruction was done to the Speed Racer, which the waterpark characterized as enclosed aqua tube slides that change into an eight-lane high-speed multi-racer slide.

Firefighters from Torremolinos, Benalm dena, and M laga were sent to Aqualand in Torremolinos, Spain.

The fire, whose smoke column could be seen for kilometers along the Costa del Sol, took them around one hour to extinguish.

Drivers slowed down to admire the catastrophe, causing traffic bottlenecks.

About fifty calls were made to the emergency services regarding the fire.

Aqualand was celebrating its 40th anniversary at the time of the renovations.

The Speed Racer is situated across from Kamikaze, the park’s main attraction and the biggest water slide in Europe at 22 meters (72 feet).

World’s tallest waterslide

According to NeedToKnow, the Kamikaze attraction is also scheduled for renovation.

With over 10,000 tourists in February alone, Torremolinos is a popular destination for British vacationers.

On social media, Mayor Margarita del Cid posted: No material or personal damage was recorded outside the building, and everyone cooperated to swiftly contain the fire, which is currently being extinguished.

According to reports, an inquiry into the fire is in progress.
