McDonald’s $5 value meal deal extends to December but there’s an even better $1 option on the way

Greetings, McDonald’s enthusiasts! We have some exciting news for you all.

The fast food behemoth recently announced that it will introduce a new value menu in 2025, but it provided very little information on what it will provide.

But at last, we have some intriguing hints about the new value platform’s appearance, and it apparently has a ton of inexpensive $1 selections.

According to individuals familiar with the situation, Bloomberg and CNBC claimed that the well-liked $5 Meal Deal will be part of the new “McValue” menu for the first half of the year.

In June 2024, the meal made its debut in response to growing criticism about fast-food prices.

According to McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger, the value menu was developed for customers who were finding it difficult to pay for standard menu items because of inflation.

McDonald’s controversial sandwich is returning – but fans want Chicken Legend

“We heard our fans clearly—they want even more great value from us, and this summer, that’s exactly what they’ll get,” Erlinger stated in a press release.

Like Wendy’s $5 Biggie Bag, it was a hit with foodies.

Someone another wrote: “It’s a replica of the Wendy’s BigBag meals they’ve had for many years already, but yes, it is a good deal.”

It includes a four-piece order of Chicken McNuggets, fries, a drink, and a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, depending on the customer’s preference.

The stock value increased 2.7% as a result of the deal, the largest increase since 2023.

Although the low-cost meal deal was only supposed to last a few weeks, most McDonald’s operators decided to prolong it into December because it was such a huge success.

The new value platform will apparently provide a “buy one add one” promotion for an additional $1 in addition to the extended $5 price.

For just a dollar, customers will be able to add Double Cheeseburgers, McChickens, six-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fry orders, Sausage McMuffins, Sausage Biscuits, Sausage Burritos, and Hash Browns to an existing order, according to CNBC.

During an earnings call in October, the chain hinted that a new value lineup would be available at restaurants the following year.

McDonald’s officials at the time only disclosed that the value platform would debut in the first quarter of 2025 and that it must include digital discounts, meal deals, and prices that are low enough to draw customers into restaurants.

The firm now revealed that it has a big menu item coming next year in a statement to CNBC.

“We and our franchisees have heard customers loud and clear when it comes to keeping prices as low as possible,” the statement said.
