Mcdonald’s Attack Arrest: Suspect in Plymouth Stabbings Taken Into Custody

A suspect accused of stabbing a guy through a McDonald’s drive-through window before attacking a lady inside the restaurant was detained last month on charges of assaulting a family member, according to court documents.

Massachusetts police are also looking into whether the attacker at the McDonald’s in Plymouth stabbed four females aged 9 to 17 approximately an hour earlier at a movie theater in Braintree.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office identified Jared Ravizza, 26, as the suspect in “multiple South Shore stabbing incidents,” but no other information was provided. Minutes after the McDonald’s stabbings, state troopers tracked down the suspect’s car and attempted to stop it, according to authorities. However, the driver failed to stop, and a chase followed.

The suspect’s vehicle eventually wrecked in Sandwich, around 25 minutes south of Plymouth, according to police. Ravizza was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital on Sunday, according to the prosecutor’s office.

While Ravizza is facing assault charges in connection with the McDonald’s attack, “preliminary investigation suggests a likely connection to an earlier incident at a movie theater in Braintree resulting in non-life threatening injuries to four juveniles,” according to state police.

It was not immediately known if Ravizza had an attorney. CNN has requested additional information from the Massachusetts State Police, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, and the Braintree Police Department.

The Massachusetts State Police stated the inquiry is still ongoing.
