Metro Detroit restaurant closures: These eateries are closing as the year winds down
(FOX 2):Additionally, several Metro Detroit restaurants are preparing to close as the year comes to an end.
As 2025 draws closer, the following establishments are closing or have already closed:
Nick’s Grecian House in Royal Oak
Known for its Greek salad and breakfast selections, this Greek eatery is getting ready to close early in the new year.
In a Facebook post on Christmas Eve, the restaurant’s proprietors announced the news and thanked the town, police department, mayor, and others for their support of the establishment over the years.
The last day of Grecian House will be January 5, 2025. However, the restaurant stated that a new owner intends to take over and rename the establishment after notifying the closure date.
Mongers’ Provisions in Detroit
This charcuterie-board-focused restaurant is closing its Detroit location.
The venue will close on New Year’s Eve after opening in 2018. The Berkley site is not included in this shutdown.
The good news, according to Mongers, is that another company that will provide cheese, chocolate, and other items will soon occupy the premises.

House of Pure Vin in Detroit
After nine years in Detroit, this wine bar renowned for its wine and culinary offerings is shutting.
Earlier this month, House of Pure Vin started what it dubbed a gradual shutdown before concluding permanently.
It will end on Friday, December 27.
The Emory in Ferndale
The Emory is closing after over 20 years in Ferndale. The eatery has been providing food and beverages close to Woodward and Nine Mile for 17 years.
The company said earlier this month that it would be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout December before permanently closing. This weekend is therefore the final opportunity to eat at The Emory.

Arctic Circle Brewing Co. in Chesterfield
Unfortunately, the Chesterfield brewery closed right before Christmas, so there isn’t any more opportunity to get a beer from Arctic Circle.
Early in November, word spread of the company’s demise, which was attributed to a decline in revenue and financial difficulties.
Before the actual brewery opened in 2021, Arctic Circle began as a business endeavor between friends from high school, who brewed the beers in one of their homes.
Brady’s Tavern in Beverly Hills
Brady’s Tavern chose to close just before Christmas, just like Arctic Circle.
After more than thirty years, the Southfield Road bar in Beverly Hills has closed.
Brady’s last full day was December 23, however in order to give patrons one last opportunity to enjoy food and beverages, the establishment was operate for a limited period on Christmas Eve.
