Metro Detroit weather: Cold day with snow arriving late, sticking around for Friday morning commute

Light snow showers might start by the evening, and as the likelihood of snow increasing throughout the course of the night and into Friday morning’s commute, things would slow down.

Snowfall along and north of M-59 is expected to be between one and two inches, with the possibility of up to three inches.

With highs remaining in the 20s and well below average, the weekend will feel like Christmas and more. Fortunately, as we approach the holiday week, the cold will subside.
