Metro Detroit weather: Snowy start to the day as the cold eases a bit

We receive some snow today, although the cold subsides a little. Alan Longstreet knows what’s coming up.

DETROIT (FOX 2):Though we’re adding some snow this morning, we’ll be easing the cold a little today.

In addition to the snow that fell overnight, expect another half inch or so of snow today, bringing the totals to between 0.5 and 1.5 inches. Make plans appropriately because this could result in slick places on the roads.

Observation:

After the morning, the snow starts to fade.

Tonight, wind chills will drop again down to almost zero, but the cold is gradually starting to subside.

We anticipate a return to “normal” temperatures by next week, and the weekend will be calm.
