Metro Detroit weather: Windy, mild start before temps dip later in the day

The temperature is approximately 40 degrees at the beginning of the day, but it will start to drop as the day goes on. Alan Longstreet knows what’s coming up.

DETROIT (FOX 2):Southeast Michigan saw a windy and mild morning with temperatures in the 40s around 4 a.m. They will, however, falter a little this afternoon.

Wind chills will be controlled by gusts of up to 35 mph, which will be perceptible.

Though they will drop into the low 20s, it felt like the temperature was closer to 30 this morning.

With some sun and highs that reach the low 40s on Thursday, the weather is looking fantastic. The week will end with rain and snow.

Right now, only a small slushy buildup is anticipated. Temperatures lag behind Friday’s system but swiftly recover, and 40 by Sunday seems like a good wager.
