Miami-Dade A Massive Tragedy, Fort Lauderdale Man Dies in Violent Sequence of Gunfire and Car Accident
DEBARYLIFE – Miami-Dade police said that a guy traveling through West Perrine was slain in an early Friday shooting.
The individual was later recognized by Crime Stoppers of Miami-Dade & the Florida Keys as Kelvin Daye, Jr., who according to state records was 34 years old. Daye resided on Northwest Seventh Street in Fort Lauderdale, according to Broward County records and a database.
At about 2:56 a.m., Miami-Dade police responded to a ShotSpotter alarm and went to the intersection of Hibiscus Street and Southwest 102nd Avenue. There, they say, they discovered a driver who had been shot.

Daye was shot, according to CBS reporting Miami, a reporting partner of the Miami Herald. He then slammed into a sign and skidded over a median before coming to a rest in front of a house.
Daye was taken by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital South, where he passed away.
