Michael Strahan admits ‘we’re in a different era’ now after being left stunned by Fox NFL Sunday interview
After his age was revealed in an appearance on Fox NFL Sunday, Michael Strahan was appalled.
The 53-year-old New York Giants fan was shocked by a “old school” allusion on the broadcast.
During their pregame broadcast on Sunday, Fox featured interviews with Minnesota Vikings players Jordan Addison, 22, and Justin Jefferson, 25.
Aaron Jones, a 30-year-old running back, conducted the interview with the young receivers.
One of the league’s top receivers, Jefferson was chosen in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
He led the league in receiving yards and was awarded the 2022 NFL’s offensive player of the year.

In contrast, Addison was selected 23rd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He is currently in his second season with the Vikings and is proving to be Jefferson’s ideal complement.
During their appearance on Fox, the two made reference to the famed Indianapolis Colts tandem of Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison.
Harrison, 52, was an eight-time Pro Bowl player who played with the Colts from 1996 to 2008.
In 2006, he won the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning’s club and twice led the league in receiving yards.
Additionally, Wayne was selected 30th overall in 2001 at the age of 46.

From 2001 to 2014, he led the league in receiving yards and was selected to the Pro Bowl six times.
Along with winning the Super Bowl with that Colts squad, Wayne and Harrison made a deadly team.
However, Strahan was taken aback when Jefferson and Addison called them “old school.”
A year after the Colts’ triumph, the Fox NFL Sunday star won his Super Bowl with the New York Giants.
“When they said ‘old school,’ they consider Harrison and Wayne ‘old school,'” Strahan chuckled.
Michael Strahan’s NFL career
One of the most well-known faces on TV is Michael Strahan.
However, he had just finished an incredibly successful NFL career before entering the media.
From 1993 to 2007, Strahan was a member of the New York Giants for 14 years.
In 2007, he helped the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl, dashing their aspirations of a perfect season. He was a seven-time Pro Bowl player.
In addition to winning Defensive Player of the Year, Strahan led the NFL in sacks two times.
In 2001, the former Giants standout set a single-season sack record of 22.5, which J.J. Watt matched precisely 20 years later.

This season, Jefferson has 1,038 receiving yards, which is second in the league only behind the Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase.
Together, the Vikings have nine touchdowns this season, and Addison has 575 yards.
