Michael Strahan receives massive award from Jimmy Johnson in heartfelt live TV moment on Fox NFL Sunday

Jimmy Johnson, a coworker on Fox NFL Sunday, bestowed a significant distinction on Michael Strahan.

The scene was broadcast on FoxNFLPregame prior to the Washington Commanders vs. Detroit Lions Divisional Round game.

Michael Strahan was chosen into the College Football Hall of Fame, it was announced this week.

From 1989 to 1992, the New York Giants great was a player at Texas Southern University.

The Dallas Cowboys great Johnson, who clutched a commemorative football from the College Football Hall of Fame dedicated to Strahan, was the focus of FoxNFLPregame’s opening minutes.

“I was able to transfer an accolade. “You were elected into the National College Hall of Fame this week, Michael Strahan,” Johnson remarked, passing the ball to Strahan.

Strahan also received applause from the Fox NFL Pregame crew.

“Nicelittle surprise!” exclaimed the NFL Hall of Famer.

Terry Bradshaw then received a message from Strahan.

He said to the Pittsburgh Steelers legend, “I know you can’t hold a secret, so I’m surprised you didn’t tell me [about the footballgift].”

As Strahan went on to express his gratitude for the accolade, Bradshaw laughed.

“I’m grateful. Thank you very much…Baby, Texas Southern University. The 53-year-old continued, “I love you.

The football stated, “The National Football Foundation CongratulatesMichael Strahan- Texas Southern University – As A Member Of The 2025 College Football Hall Of Fame Class.”

In his final NFL season, 2007–08, Strahan won a Super Bowl while playing for the Giants for 15 seasons.

He was selected to six All-Pro teams and had seven Pro Bowl nominations.

In 2014, Strahan was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

During his collegiate career, Strahan graduated with both TSU’s single-season sack record (19) in 1992 along with the all-time sack record (41.5).

Strahan is part of the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 which includes coaching legends Nick Saban, andUrban Meyer, and players Haloti Ngota and Michael Vick.

The class will be inducted during the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner Presented byLas Vegason December 9 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino inLas Vegas.
