Michael Strahan sent warning live on Fox NFL Sunday by show guest who shut down panel’s retirement questions

A show guest gave Michael Strahan advance notification during Fox NFL Sunday.

Cameron Jordan, the standout veteran for the New Orleans Saints, was featured on Fox NFL Sunday’s Week 12 broadcast.

This week, the Saints were off because Jordan, an eight-time Pro Bowler, joined the set.

Alongside the 14-year NFL veteran were NFL insider Jay Glazer, host Curt Menefee, commentators Terry Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, and Strahan.

Menefee questioned Jordan about his NFL retirement date during a sequence.

When Jordan inquired about Strahan’s playing career, the legendary New York Giants player replied that he played for 15 years before retiring.

“You already peaked [15 years in the NFL] right?” “What?” Strahan inquired.

Jordan then gave Strahan a warning after disclosing that he has been a member of the league for 14 seasons.

“So after [I get] beyond [15 seasons played], then we’ll talk [about the possibility of retirement],” stated the 35-year-old.

Following Strahan’s “OK” response, Jordan went on to explain that he needs more league experience in order to be considered for the Hall of Fame.

Jordan then explained why, stating that he has 118.5 sacks whereas Strahan, an NFL Hall of Famer, has 141.5 sacks.

Jordan then mocked Howie Long in a humorous way, claiming that the sack statistic wasn’t created when he began his Hall of Fame career.

“[Long] has like 300 [sacks] but we only got him for like 90,” he stated.

Long and Strahan both laughed at Jordan’s joke.

Over the course of his 13-year career, Long did record 91.5 sacks.

However, as sacks were not a recognized statistic in the Raiders legend’s 1981 rookie season, seven-and-a-half of his sacks were unofficial.

Jordan taught the panel a defensive line blocking and pass-rushing technique while he was there.

Jordan talked on the importance of teamwork and likened it to marriage.

For the rushing drills, Long was Strahan’s partner as well.

According to Jordan, “this is how relationships work,”

“This is a marriage.”

In response, Long said, “I’m not getting so much out of this marriage,”

As Jordan extended his marital analogy, the Fox NFL Sunday cast went into a frenzy.
