Michael Vick present on Fox NFL Sunday despite signing college football coaching contract at Norfolk State
Even though Michael Vick has a contract to coach football, he is still doing his work on Fox NFL Kickoff.
Vick will take over as head coach of Norfolk State’s football program.
Vick has been an analyst for Fox NFL ever since he retired from the NFL.
Although he has consistently been on Fox NFL Kickoff, he will probably be leaving the program once he begins his coaching career at Norfolk State.
On Friday, Vick was formally named the team’s new head coach.
Vick said Fox Sports, “I understand the position that Norfolk State is in,”

“I recognize where we are. Many children will be searching for football-playing possibilities where they may continue to develop while playing at a high level.
Working with children every single day, as opposed to, say, a two-day football camp, is what I’m looking forward to.
“Instead of watching them grow over two days, now I get to coach them each and every day with a great coaching staff who’s going to assist in making sure that these kids play their best brand of football.”
Vick is continuing the tradition of former athletes coaching collegiate teams, which was started by Deion Sanders.
“I reached out to Deion just to have a conversation with him,” Vick stated.
“The main topics of discussion were philosophy and the most crucial first steps.
“He reminded me I’d have a bunch of people pulling for me.”
After having lengthy discussions with the program, Vick came close to signing with Sacramento State.
In addition to constructing a new stadium, Sacramento State has lofty goals of becoming an FBS school after being an FCS one.
Vick remained in Virginia, his home state, despite the alleged $50 million available for NIL deals.
“The circumstances at Sacramento State were excellent. They had a ton of opportunities and a ton of NIL money,” Vick remarked.

However, I didn’t want money to be the deciding factor in my choice. I wanted to base it on my abilities and the people I could actually assist.
Additionally, I believe that I can assist on both sides. However, I thought it was fantastic to return home and do it in my backyard.
“And that was probably the deciding factor, having the chance to do it back where I grew up.”
