Michigan Football RB Donovan Edwards opts out of ReliaQuest Bowl against No. 11 Alabama for NFL draft

(AP) ANN ARBOR, MIIn order to concentrate on getting ready for the NFL draft, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards informed reporters on Sunday that he would not be participating in the ReliaQuest Bowl versus No. 11 Alabama on December 31.
This season, Edwards has rushed for 589 yards and four touchdowns for the Wolverines (7-5) who are the reigning national champions.
Edwards finishes his collegiate career with 86 receptions for 797 yards and four touchdowns, 2,251 yards of rushing, and 19 touchdowns.
Against the Crimson Tide, Michigan will also be without defensive tackle Mason Graham, cornerback Will Johnson, and tight end Colston Loveland—all of whom are possible first-round selections.
