Michigan search warrant outcomes A city man has been detained on drug and handgun accusations
Michigan City, Indiana – After executing a house search warrant on Michigan City’s Hoyt Street, the Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) of the Michigan City Police Department and the LaPorte County Drug Task Force apprehended 31-year-old Kyle Fugate on charges relating to drugs and firearms.
According to the police, last week, the CSU received information about Fugate’s illegal handgun possession. Fugate is categorized as a “Serious Violent Felon” under the Indiana Criminal Code.
Authorities said they swiftly obtained a search warrant for Fugate’s Hoyt Street home after vigorously pursuing the inquiry.
Detectives allegedly discovered quantities of suspected ecstasy, psilocybin, dextroamphetamine, marijuana, materials consistent with trafficking in illegal substances, and a handgun during the execution of the search warrant, according to the police.
Fugate was apprehended once it was discovered that he was inside the house.
The judge signed a document containing probable cause that was brought before La Porte County Superior Court 1.
At Fugate’s initial hearing on May 21, a bond for $50,000 in cash alone was given to him.
