Michigan State Police searching for pedestrian running on I-75 find Ohio man’s body

DETROIT (FOX 2):Following reports that someone was in the road, police searched a freeway on Sunday night and discovered the body of an Ohio man who had been hit by a car.

Around 7:45 p.m., callers initially reported seeing a pedestrian strolling along northbound I-75. Then someone else called to say that someone was running on the expressway. Troops from the Michigan State Police arrived and started searching for the pedestrian. A 42-year-old guy from Twinsburg, Ohio was discovered dead on the road close to W. Grand Boulevard during their search.

Although a car had struck the man, the driver did not remain at the site.

Police are currently searching for the driver’s details.

According to F/Lt Mike Shaw, “Troopers are continuing to investigate this crash,” “If you witnessed this crash or were involved in the crash, contact the Metro South Post at 734-287-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.”
