Missing Hannah Kobayashi’s dad Ryan, 58, found dead in parking lot as search for daughter takes tragic turn
Police said the father of Hannah Kobayashi, a missing tourist, has passed away.
The body of Ryan Kobayashi was discovered in a parking lot early on Sunday morning, according to Los Angeles police.
His remains were found close to the Los Angeles airport, according to police, who spoke to the ABC station KTLA.
Weeks after Hannah departed Hawaii to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to New York, Ryan passed away.
A Facebook group created in an attempt to locate Hannah has released a family statement that was viewed by The U.S. Sun.
“The Kobayashi family endured a devastating tragedy today,” read the statement.

“This loss has compounded the family’s suffering immeasurably.”
The cause of death has not been officially announced by police, but according to the family statement, Ryan “took his own life.”
Two weeks after Hannah departed Hawaii, Ryan’s body was discovered.
Hannah appeared to have missed her connecting flight, but surveillance footage showed her arriving at LAX on the evening of November 8.
She did not arrive in the Empire State on the morning of November 9, which was her scheduled landing date.
This was the case even though Hannah had prepared an itinerary detailing the things she hoped to undertake during the vacation.
According to her plan, Hannah wanted to visit family and attend concerts while she was in New York.
After receiving a series of mysterious texts from her phone, friends and family became alarmed.
When she should have been in New York, she was spotted at an event in Los Angeles.
When Brandi Yee, Hannah’s mother, messaged the traveler to check if she had arrived in New York, she got the two-word response, “Not yet.”
Hannah was deceived into handing away money, allegedly to a loved one, according to a message sent from her cell phone.
Hannah seems frightened based on other messages.
The disappearance of Hannah Kobayashi
The 31-year-old HANNAH Kobayashi has been missing since she failed to make her flight to New York.
On Friday, November 8, Kobayashi departs from her Maui home and lands in Los Angeles in preparation for her subsequent journey to New York City. At 11 p.m., she has forty-two minutes to make the flight.
On Saturday, November 9, Kobayashi is scheduled to touch down at New York City’s JFK airport at 7 a.m., but he never shows up.
On Sunday, November 10, Kobayashi sends a series of cryptic texts in which she expresses her fear and anxiety about someone attempting to steal her identity and money.
A little over an hour from LAX, she is later spotted at an event at The Grove in Los Angeles.
On Monday, November 11, Kobayashi returns to LAX due to her phone. She uploads a photo to her Instagram. She switches off her phone.
On Wednesday, November 13, a family reports a missing person.
Thursday, November 14: Kobayashi is shown in Los Angeles in a YouTube video of the Nike event at The Grove.
Ryan, Hannah’s father, was discovered dead in a Los Angeles parking lot on Sunday, November 24.
Sydni, Hannah’s sister, said that the text messages were beginning to make her feel nervous.
According to Sydni, Hannah didn’t sound like the texts.
She told the CBS affiliate KGMB, “I’m not sure if it was her or if someone else was texting.”
“It was just really weird texts.”
Hannah’s phone messages didn’t sound like those of her niece, according to her aunt Larie Pidgeon.
“Strange, cryptic messages things about the matrix, it was so unlike her,” she stated.
As the hunt for his daughter intensified, Ryan, Hannah’s father, had taken a plane to Los Angeles.
Hannah’s family disclosed that they spotted her on the November 11 security tape and that she didn’t appear to be doing well.
According to reports, the video showed the passenger in person with another individual when they were in the vicinity of the city’s Pico metro station.
Since a November 11 ping on her cell phone, Hannah has not been contacted.
The last known location of the traveler appeared to be the airport in Los Angeles.
Her family worries that she might have been trafficked or kidnapped.
“We re trying to keep hope alive, but it has now been basically a week and a day since Nov. 11 when she was last spotted with this unknown person and didn t seem to be okay, so our mind is now going to abduction, and, I hate to say the word but, trafficked,” Pidgeon told the NBC affiliateKHNL.
After family members were unable to contact Hannah, a missing person’s report was submitted two days later.

Ryan pleaded with her to contact him a few days prior to his passing.
