Fikr co-founder Caterina Fake and Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield are the parents of Mint Butterfield. Christopher “Kio” Dizefalo, a 26-year-old guy who presented himself as her “adult friend,” went with the girl when the police located her in San Francisco on Saturday night.

The teenager was joined by Dizefalo. At this time, the individual is being held in custody facing charges of kidnapping. It was with a sense of relief and appreciation that Mint’s mother, Caterina Fake, and her father, Stewart Butterfield, who is also a co-founder of Slack, learned that their child had been safely returned. They expressed their gratitude to the members of the community, volunteers, and law enforcement personnel who assisted in the search efforts in a statement that was released to the media.
