Days before he was discovered dead in a parking lot, the father of missing traveler Hannah Kobayashi was spotted sobbing at a rally for his daughter.
Before his body was found in a parking lot close to Los Angeles International Airport early on Sunday morning, Ryan Kobayashi talked about his daughter.
“This is every parent’s nightmare,” he told The U.S. Sun exclusively during Thursday’s event in Los Angeles.
“We are unsure about where to begin. It is quite traumatic.
Ryan’s family confirmed his death and called the event a “devastating tragedy.”
“This loss has compounded the family’s suffering immeasurably,” they wrote in a message on Facebook.

After his 30-year-old daughter lost contact with her family while traveling from her home in Hawaii to New York, Ryan anxiously spent his last days looking for her.
She missed her connecting connection during her layover in Los Angeles on November 8 and was spotted two days later at an event at a retail mall in the city.
The Los Angeles Police Department has launched an inquiry after Kobayashi’s family expressed concerns that she was kidnapped or caught in a human trafficking plot.

We’re trying to press as hard as we can, and time is of the importance,” he remarked.
“This is really uncharacteristic. She wouldn’t do this to her mother, aunts, or sister.”
Ryan also disclosed that he wishes they had been nearer when she vanished and that they had lost contact in recent months.
He was still hopeful, though, that she would be recovered unharmed.
“It seems like it’s a cloud that keeps turning and spinning,” he stated.
Since she is an adult, sane, and has never done anything like this before, police are looking into it; it’s just an issue of priority.

After Hannah sent cryptic text messages expressing her fear and anxiety about someone attempting to take her identity and money, concerns for her safety grew.
She said to a buddy via text, “I got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds.”
In yet another unsettling message, she wrote, “For someone I thought I loved,”
After Kobayashi uploaded a photo to Instagram on November 11 before shutting off her phone, the mystery surrounding her disappearance became even more complex.

On Friday, November 8, Kobayashi departs from her Maui home and lands in Los Angeles in preparation for her subsequent journey to New York City. At 11 p.m., she has forty-two minutes to make the flight.
On Saturday, November 9, Kobayashi is scheduled to touch down at New York City’s JFK airport at 7 a.m., but he never shows up.
Sunday, November 10: Along with several other cryptic texts, Kobayashi sends a message expressing her fear and anxiety about someone attempting to take her identity and money.
A little over an hour from LAX, she is later spotted at an event at The Grove in Los Angeles.
On Monday, November 11, Kobayashi returns to LAX due to her phone. She uploads a photo to her Instagram. She switches off her phone.
On Wednesday, November 13, a family reports a missing person.
Thursday, November 14: Kobayashi is shown in Los Angeles in a YouTube video of the Nike event at The Grove.
Ryan, Hannah’s father, was discovered dead in a Los Angeles parking lot on Sunday, November 24.
According to the family, Kobayashi was seen at the Pico Metro Station that same day, according to police sources.
Following Ryan’s passing, his family has called for a redoubled search for his daughter.
“Hannah is still actively missing and is believed to be in imminent danger,” they stated.
“All communities should come together to support, care for, and pray for the family during this trying time.
“It is the family wish that the public keep the focus on locating and recovering Hannah safely.”
