Model & DJ, 37, dies on Bali holiday after falling from apartment balcony in tragic accident as her family pay tribute

While on vacation in Bali, a well-known Australian DJ and OnlyFans model perished in a terrible accident.

Courtney Mills, 37, fell from a balcony at the hotel where she was staying in Kuta, a south coast beach town, while she was on the island visiting her two dogs.

After suffering severe injuries and being taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, the Melbourne DJ tragically passed away two days later in front of her loved ones.

To be by Courtney’s side in her last moments, her mother Diane and older sister Kiana took a plane to the Indonesian island.

According to Kiana’s Instagram post, her sister was put on life support and had numerous surgeries, but sadly, her severe injuries prevented her from being rescued.

“We share the news of Courtney’s passing with such a heavy heart,” Kiana stated.

“Mum and I arrived in Bali on Saturday and were by her side until the very end,” the distraught sister continued.

After living on Bali for a number of years before moving back to Melbourne to live with her parents, Courtney considered the island to be her “second home”.

The incident on Friday occurred less than two years after she suffered a brain bleed in 2023 after falling down a set of stairs in Bali.

Before starting a global career, Courtney was a well-liked DJ in Melbourne, playing at some of the city’s most popular nightclubs, such as Metropol, Cushion, Secret Garden, Hotel Barkley, and Motel Eve.

Her broken family has come out to honor a spirit of freedom and adventure.

According to her mother Diane Mayne, who spoke to Nine News, “She was beautiful, big-hearted, and happy-go-lucky.”

The distraught mother went on to say, “She lived life to the fullest,”

According to Kiani, Courtney’s sister, her death was determined to be an accident.

She said to the Herald Sun: “It’s just the mourning and grief of a life that’s been lost way too early.”

“Sitting and reflecting on her amazing life and how full it was has been the most lovely thing we have been able to do in the past few days.

“Just to DJ for an hour, she would drive for hours on end.

“To her, her work was more than just a job; it was a life, and she would travel across the nation to accomplish it with such passion.

“Her sense of freedom was behind those decks, and we got to see her light up rooms,” Kiani continued.

Courtney shared a video of herself dancing to a 1990s classic song while wearing a bright pink bikini, only five days before she passed away.

Following the announcement of Courtney’s passing, friends and celebrities have expressed their sorrow and paid their respects.

Someone wrote: “I’m completely heartbroken. You were truly an angel, and your kindness and light will always be remembered.

“Today, we mourn the loss of an incredible soul who brought joy, energy, and passion to everywhere she graced,” said That Sound, a talent agency.

“Courtney Mills was more than simply an amazing DJ; she was the lifeblood of every gathering, a lively energy that united us all.

“We cherish the times we spent together and the memories we made.

“Rest in peace, your light will never fade.”

According to fellow DJ Brandon Mangion, she was a beacon of light that brightened every space, but what really made her stand out from the crowd was her compassion.

“I’m here for you,” was the last message he received from Courtney, he told Nine News.

“Reading that yesterday broke my heart,” he said.

On Wednesday, Courtney will be cremated in Bali.

“This place [Bali] was her second home, so we wish to honor her and leave a part of her here,” her sister Kiani posted on the internet.
