The all-red ensemble may have been chosen by Qerim as a tribute to Ohio State, who will play Notre Dame in the national championship game.

While Stephen A. and Sharpe predicted Ohio State to win, Newton also predicted Notre Dame to win.
Since Qerim attended UConn for her college education, she has no connection to Ohio State.
