Mom Tiffanie Lucas sentenced to life in prison after claiming she was ‘manipulated by WiFi’ into killing two young sons

The mother who confessed to shooting her two young boys dead and said WiFi had tricked her was given two life sentences.

When a judge in Kentucky sentenced Tiffany Lucas, 32, to life in prison on Friday for the killings of her children, Jayden Howard, 9, and Maurice Baker Jr., 6, the courtroom erupted in cheers.

As her children’s relatives tore her apart in impact statements, Lucas, shackled from the wrists and ankles, sat beside her defense lawyer, unfazed.

“You killed two good kids, you don’t deserve public defenders, you don’t deserve the sheriff’s around you,” Maurice’s father spat out from the witness stand, staring daggers through Lucas.

Maurice’s aunt, Bobbie Baker, scolded Lucas, saying, “I will never forgive you. I’ll be there at all parole hearings.

Regina Roland, Jayden’s grandmother, choked back tears as she told Lucas that rather than carrying out the horrible deed, she could have handed the boys to the family.

FAMILY HORROR

“My heart is in pieces, and you know that you have always had a place to drop them off,” remarked Roland.

“Jayden was taken from me by you. And I hurt every single day, every single second of the day.

“I want you to suffer just like I’m suffering right now.”

According to Lucas’ defense lawyer Richard Lawniczak, the mother had a serious mental disorder in the days and hours leading up to her killing her babies.

“No one could’ve imagined Tiffanie could have hurt those children,” Lawniczak stated.

‘SHEER HORROR’

“Tiffanie tried to get help as her mind was drowning in mental illness.”

Judge Rodney Burress considered the seriousness of Lucas’ crimes and imposed two life sentences on her, one for each murder, despite her lawyer’s entreaties.

Burress remarked, “I cannot imagine the sheer horror these children must have experienced seeing their mother with a gun,” before to imposing the sentence.

As the judge imposed the sentence, the courtroom erupted in cheers.

As correction officers took her out of the courtroom, Lucas remained stoic.

VILE ACT

On November 8, 2023, little Jayden and Maurice were discovered inside their Shepherdsville, Kentucky, home, approximately 20 miles south of Louisville, with gunshot wounds.

Lucas was discovered collapsed in her neighbor’s driveway by deputies when Bullitt County sheriff’s office arrived at the residence.

After being taken to the hospital, the kids passed away from their wounds.

According to court filings, Lucas informed detectives at the time that she had allegedly been “manipulated” by WiFi and Facebook to kill her children.

In an earlier court appearance, Bullitt County Detective Richard Beahl stated that Lucas “made statements she was being manipulated through Facebook, through the internet or through WiFi… into doing what she did.”

Additionally, Lucas described the event to Beahl as a “accident.”
