Most popular Costco foods Americans are turning to on NFL game day – see what your state is snacking on
Sports lovers nationwide are preparing with their preferred snacks and drinks as football season gets underway.
In order to identify which Costco products are the ideal couch companions for game day, AnNFLfansite searched social media.
The NFL season runs from early September to February, with the Super Bowl serving as the season’s finale. Every week, ardent football fans across the country support their favorite option.
Naturally, a game day wouldn’t be complete without food and beverages to keep the party going.
An NFL fan website called NFLYFF.org decided to determine the most popular items that people purchase from Costco on game day.
In order to find out what meals and beverages sports fans were talking about on various platforms that featured Costco, the NFL, or football, the business conducted a social media search around the 2024 NFL season dates.

FOOD FINDS
As they support their favorite players, NFL fans in the US are enjoying a range of Costco products, from well-known classics to surprising surprises.
Naturally, a variety of munchies like Taquitos, Kinder Bueno, and Nutella were among the top-rated Costco items in the country for game day.
Traditional items like Coca-Cola and Costco pizza were also at the top of the list.
Furthermore, a search on the fan site revealed that other watch party hosts are offering up heartier fare, with the top 10 dishes including Reser’s potato salad, Amylu chicken meatballs, and ravioli lasagna.
NFLYFF.org provided a unique perspective on the snacks, meals, and beverages that football fans consume by breaking down the statistics by state.
Not unexpectedly, on game day, the majority of states are indulging in clichéd meals and drinks.
For instance, in a staggering 23 states, Coca-Cola was the most popular game day buy.
“When it comes to drinking a Coke and watching the big game, there s not much more American than that!” NFLYFF.org Content Expert Will Hobson told The U.S. Sun.
“We weren t too surprised that Coca-Cola was a top game day pick for nearly half the states as more than half of Americans over the age of 18 consume soda on a regular basis and Coca-Cola is the most recognized soda brand in the nation.”
Pizza, Uncrustables, spinach artichoke dip, tacos, and mozzarella sticks were among traditional favorites that were popular and were the top game day purchases in a number of states.

“We weren t surprised by the interest in pizza and spinach artichoke dip as those are classic game day foods for Americans,” Hobson said.
However, NFLYFF.org was surprised to learn that football fans in some places were choosing sweeter options instead of the traditional salty ones.
“We were surprised by states like Indiana, Kentucky, and Nebraska who were interested in a sweeter treat for football games searching for Nutella Biscuits and the spread itself,” Hobson added.
“We also expected to see more states looking for chips but only Michigan and Virginia had that as their top searches,” he stated.
The most outrageous choice for game day came from one state, which chose a high-end option over finger meals and conventional American snacks.
Omaha steaks were the most popular game-day cuisine among Alaskans, who appeared to favor a heartier football feast.
