On Thursday, Jennifer Imhauser-Jimenez and her gorgeous little daughter Layla made their way back to Huron Valley Sinai in Commerce Township.
For the first time since their emergency C-section in March, the couple is visiting the same team that delivered Layla. In the end, the procedure saved their lives.
Jenn’s blood pressure had risen to 180 over 110 at 39 weeks, and she was suffering from a bad migraine. She was instructed to come to triage by Dr. Mais Arwani.
Jenn began to struggle to respond to our inquiries very soon after we arrived. “She had a seizure, went into cardiac arrest, and abruptly lost consciousness,” Arwani added.
Jenn was revived by medical personnel after they called a Code Blue. After that, she was taken in for an urgent cesarean section. According to the doctors, Jenn suffered eclampsia, but she and Layla are currently doing well.
“I can t thank you enough from the bottom of my heart and my family s heart because things could ve been so different,” Jennifer stated.
