My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar’s haunting final post paid tribute to fellow rockstar pal who tragically died
The late drummer Bob Bryar of My Chemical Romance paid homage to another rock star great in one of his last eerie posts.
Only a few years after Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington committed himself, Bryar, 44, was discovered dead inside his house on Wednesday.
With his last social media post mentioning the star, Chester was considered an inspiration to thousands of musicians, including Bryar.
Linkin Park broke up after Chester passed away in 2017, but they regrouped earlier this year when Emily Armstrong took over as the band’s main vocalist.
Bryar, who is obviously an Armstrong fan, gave the 38-year-old high marks for her ability to come back on stage and keep the iconic band performing.
She is “making Chester proud” by allowing his legacy to continue, he said.

“Emily Armstrong is destroying, shredding faces, and making Chester proud,” the drummer said in an emotional X post.
“She had to endure the early hostility, but she was the ideal choice. It’s difficult. Believe me. “Word up.”
On November 5, the day of the US election, the encouraging message was sent.
Apart from two additional posts discussing “Tulsi” and “Megyn,” Bryar’s account is completely blank.
Despite having few tweets, he was a frequent user of X, with many of them being removed over time.
After police discovered Bryar’s body at his Tennessee home earlier this week, his death was officially confirmed on Friday night.
Investigations are still being conducted, thus it is yet unknown how and when he passed away.
His body was reportedly “decomposing” when it was found bypolicejust days beforeThanksgiving.
He was last seen on November 5 – the same day as his final X posts – 22 days before he was officially found dead.
According to police, there is no reason to suspect his death.
They said his home was found in a normal state with his music equipment and weapons all left untouched.
After Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was released in 2004, Bryar joined My Chemical Romance, taking Matt Pelissier’s place as drummer.
He toured with the band for years and was apart of the best selling album, The Black Parade.
He parted ways with the group in 2010 in what was described as a “painful decision”.
The abrupt departure was never officially explained.
Bryar is still regarded as the last official drummer and the longest serving one for My Chemical Romance.
Ever since leaving he has spent his time working in real estate and helping out at animal rescue centres.
Bryar was born inChicago,Illinoisand first picked up a pair of drumsticks in his teenage years.
He regularly performed in bands at school including marching andjazzbands.

His first taste of the music industry came in 2000 when he acted as the sound engineer for several groups on the road.
While out on tours with bands such as Used and Thrice he grew close to the members of My Chemical Romance before officially joining as their drummer in 2004.
