Mystery of 14,000-year-old stone tablet written in language NEVER seen before…so ‘important message’ may be lost FOREVER
A 14,000-year-old stone tablet that contains remnants of an extinct ancient language that scientists are unable to identify has been discovered.
The discovery from Georgia that does not employ any written language has been dated by archaeologists to the late Bronze or early Iron Age.
The stone was discovered near Bashplemi Lake in the old Dbaniskhevi region.
The 60 characters on the tablet appear to have been created using a process that was surprisingly sophisticated for their period.
Although there are a number of interpretations regarding the meaning of the inscription, experts have proposed that it might have been something significant.
The experts speculate that this might be a record of military loot, a significant building project, or a tribute to a deity if any of the repeating figures are numerals.

An ancient scribe would have needed to outline each sign with a series of notches before carving the unknown inscription.
After that, they would have used a rounded tool to smooth out the pattern.
The fact that the text doesn’t resemble even the most exotic of the known languages has astonished scientists the most.
The archaeologists write in their report on the find: “Generally, the Bashplemi inscription does not repeat any script known to us; however, most of the symbols used therein resemble ones found in the scripts of the Middle East, as well as those of geographically remote countries such as India, Egypt and West Iberia.”
There is no way for the scientists to determine the tablet’s purpose because they have no idea what the writing says.
It is not mentioned in reports if this code will ever be deciphered.
AN EARLY BRONZE AGE DISCOVERY?
As early as the Bronze Age, Dbaniskhevi was the site of a flourishing civilization.
According to sources, the tablet does appear to be from this historical period based on the available information.
Stone and obsidian tools for processing hides were discovered during earlier excavations in the area, indicating a lengthy period of habitation.
Additionally, sets of regular circles that might represent burial mounds can be seen in drone footage.
The world’s most gruesome ancient burials
These are a some of the most eerie archeological finds ever made.
- Shackled skeletons: A mass grave in an ancient Greek cemetery was found to contain 80 skeletons all with their wrists clamped in iron shackles; archaeologists think they were victims of a mass execution but why this happened remains a mystery
- Mass child sacrifice: The remains of nearly 270 children sacrificed to the gods 500 years ago were recently found in a gruesome ancient mass grave in Peru
- Family massacre: Archaeologists recently discovered that a 5,000 year old mass grave site was the result of a tragic family massacre; the burial site in Poland contains the bodies of men, women and children who all had their skulls smashed to pieces
- Bog bodies: In 1950, experts found a bog body with a “face so fresh they could only suppose they had stumbled on a recent murder.” The corpse, referred to as the Tollund man, is probably the most well-preserved body from pre-historic times in the whole world
Additionally, geometrical shapes that might represent the remnants of homes, defenses, or sites of worship were discovered.
An additional notion links the tablet to Greek mythology.
In order to locate the Golden Fleece, Jason, the commander of the Argonauts, must journey to the kingdom of Colchis.
Although Colchis was frequently regarded as a legendary kingdom of wealth, it was a genuine area in modern-day Georgia that bordered the Black Sea.

The “Golden Script” is a writing system that the Colchis people were familiar with, according to ancient Greek texts.
This connection supports the idea that the tablet was utilized for a significant purpose by hinting at an even more profound past.
