Mystery winner still holding on to an unclaimed $1 million Mega Million ticket – with exact date it must be redeemed
ONE lucky lottery player has unknowingly scooped a $1 million prize but the clock it ticking on claiming it.
A Mega Millions ticket drawn in September is still waiting to be claimed.
The unknown player from Washington won the million-dollar prize in the draw on September 10.
Anyone from the state who knows they bought a ticket for that draw is urged to search for their ticket.
The overnight millionaire bought the Mega Millions ticket from Brewster in Okanogan County.
The city only has a population of just over 2,000 people.

Players are asked to check for the following numbers on their tickets:
01, 02, 16, 24, 66 and Mega Ball 06.
The winner of the $1 million prize correctly matched all five numbers, only narrowly missing out on the jackpot by failing to predict the Mega Ball.
What could be even more painful is that had they opted for the Megaplier which was X4 on that draw, they could have won $4 million.
The Megaplier option is given to all players who, for an extra $1 have the opportunity to multiple non-jackpot prizes.
This can be anything from doubling, tripling or even multiplying the prize by five.
Before Mega Millions players go on to lament what they could have one, the owner of the unclaimed ticket must take swift action.
The prize has to be claimed by March 9, 2025.
If the rightful winner still hasn’t claimed the money, it will return to the state’s lottery fund to be won by someone else.
However, that is not the only Mega Millions prize that needs to be claimed.
