NBA announces final Anthony Edwards punishment decision after obscene remarks following Wolves-Warriors
The NBA has fined Anthony Edwards heavily for using profanity in a post-game interview.
The guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves assisted his team in defeating the Golden State Warriors 107-90.
After the victory, Edwards was gushing over his teammates, especially the Wolves defense.
However, the NBA fined him $25,000 when he used a few profanity terms, according to TMZ.
“Everyone is guarding at a high level, but Jaden and Rudy are being the anchors that we need them to be,” Edwards stated after the game.
“Julius and Naz are playing defense like f***s.

“They play defense like I’ve never seen them before. That is f***ing amazing, then.
Put the camera on him; he’s right here. He’s protecting his ass.”
In only a few short weeks, Edwards has been penalized twice.
On November 15, he was fined $35,000 for giving the Sacramento Kings the finger during a game.
It should come as no surprise that he chose not to address the media following Monday’s Wolves’ 114-106 loss to the Warriors.
Edwards received a $40,000 fine in January for his constant public criticism of officials.
One of the league’s faces, the 23-year-old inked a five-year, $204 million maximum contract in July 2023.
LaMelo Ball was fined $100,000 for an alleged homophobic insult, and the NBA is quick to crack down on offensive remarks.
He made these comments in a post-game interview following the Charlotte Hornets’ 115-114 victory.
“We loaded up no homo,” he continued.
“That is what we wanted, put a hand up and then live with the results.”
