New Jersey MAN CHARGED With First-degree MURDER for Stabbing MOTHER to Death While She Slept
According to authorities, a New Jersey man was charged after stabbing his mother to death while she slept in her bed at their shared residence.
Robert Parody was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of his mother, Loretta Parody, 61, at their Howell Township home on Porter Road, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Parody, 25, stabbed his mother in the chest at around 1 a.m. Monday after entering her bedroom while she was sleeping, according to an inquiry.
According to prosecutors, officers responded to the location and arrested Parody without incident. His mother was transported to the hospital but was subsequently confirmed dead.
Parody was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution for a detention hearing. Anyone with any additional information regarding the fatal stabbing is requested to contact authorities.
