The youngsters were rescued by emergency personnel, but tragically, they both passed away at the scene.
Public records from Ocean County indicate that she is being held on two charges of aggravated murder and two counts of attempted felony weapon possession. Authorities have decided not to release Elkins on bond, as shown in public records. This married 27-year-old has a master’s degree. On Monday morning, she will face a detention hearing, after which her first hearing is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday morning, neither police nor crime scene tape were present at the residence.
A witness told News 12 New Jersey on Tuesday evening, “I saw a ton of police cars and ambulances…I saw someone doing CPR in the ambulance.” Another witness confirmed the sighting.

The kids were saved when a patrolling police officer in West Haven, Connecticut, heard screams at about 2:30 in the morning on Saturday. Romney Desronvil and his two children were in the water when he arrived at the scene. He was allegedly told to remain back by Desronvil.
Both youngsters were rescued by the police and transported to the hospital. The individuals have subsequently been released from the critical care unit, according to the local news station independent.
