New photos of Brian Thompson’s ‘assassin’ released as cops reveal ‘we know his name’ & divers comb Central Park lake
Two additional images of the accused assassin of Brian Thompson have been made public by COPS.
On Wednesday morning, the 50-year-old CEO of UnitedHealthcare was shot at close range on the sidewalk outside the New York Hilton in what has been described as a “brazen and targeted attack.”
New photos of the man wanted for interrogation have been made public by the NYPD as the manhunt for the murderer enters its fifth day.
Only two pictures of the suspect’s entire face were previously made public. One of those pictures showed him checking into a hostel a few days prior to the shooting and removing his mask to mingle with the receptionist.
The latest images depict a man gazing over the partition of what looks to be a New York City taxi while sporting a blue medical mask and a black sweatshirt.
The man is on the sidewalk in the second picture, which was taken from inside a car.

Once more, he is dressed in a black puffer jacket, a hood over his head, and a face mask.
The police have stated that they are closing in on the suspected killer, and it is hoped that the images released on Saturday may result in new information being submitted to them.
Over the weekend, New York Mayor Eric Adams announced that the police now have a name for the person they are looking for in connection with the shooting and that the “net is tightening.”
The suspect is being warned because divers have been seen in Central Park Lake while they continue to look for evidence to support their case.
According to the Daily Mail, investigators were seen in the water on Saturday afternoon close to the Bethesda Fountain.
Less than a mile and a half from the location of another crucial piece of evidence discovered next to the park’s carousel, divers were searching the region.
Investigators have made a number of breakthroughs in the investigation in the just 48 hours.
Police searched Central Park and discovered what they thought was the shooter’s rucksack jammed between two rocks close to the carousel. They also looked into a burner phone that they believe belonged to the suspect.
A blazer and monopoly money were found in the rucksack, according to sources close to the investigation who spoke to Bloomberg and NBC News.
Whether the jacket is the same one that was on the suspect during the attack has not been verified.
Police also discovered items at the shooting scene that they suspect include the killer’s DNA, such as a water bottle he reportedly purchased with cash right before attacking Thompson.
The suspect is thought to have left the city an hour after the murder on a bus bound for Atlanta, according to Fox News, and a new clue regarding his bus trip was also made public on Saturday.
The NYPD and FBI have offered prizes for information that leads to an arrest in the case as police call for more information.
When the FBI joined on Friday, the initial $10,000 offer from New York police to anyone with important information on the culprit was increased to up to $50,000.
The Atlanta Police Department’s revelation on Friday that they had entered the probe further strengthened it.
It follows the suspect’s association with the state.
He is believed to have entered New York City on a Greyhound bus that originated from Atlanta in November and he fled on a bus back there after the assassination.
Although a motive has not yet been disclosed, authorities think Thompson was “specifically targeted” in the murder.
Forensics teams discovered achilling message left on the bulletsthe killer used to murder Thompson in cold blood.
The words “deny,” “depose,” and “defend,” were found on live rounds and shell casings at the scene, police sources told the New York Post.
An expert has claimed that theshooter’s gun malfunction may have been “for show”andconnected to this messagescrawled on the shell casings.
