NFC wins third straight Pro Bowl behind 3 touchdown performance from MVP Jared Goff

In the final flag football game of the weekend, the NFC defeated the Lions 76-63, led by quarterback Jared Goff, who threw three touchdowns and was named the Pro Bowl Games Offensive MVP.

In the meantime, the Pro Bowl Games Defensive MVP award went to Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy.

During the first night of the Pro Bowl Games on Thursday, Goff gave an almost flawless performance in “passing the test” and assisted the NFC in taking a 14-7 lead against the AFC.

In one minute and thirty seconds, Goff demonstrated his passing prowess by hitting every target and then some after receiving some assistance from Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs during an NFL trivia challenge. He scored 44 points for the NFC, five more than Minnesota teammate Sam Darnold.

The AFC quarterbacks, which included Joe Burrow of Cincinnati, Drake Maye of New England, and Russell Wilson of Pittsburgh, were easily defeated by Goff, Darnold, and Baker Mayfield of Tampa Bay.

Of the six events on opening night, the passing game was the most exciting. Along with winning two of three relay races, the NFC also took first place in a skills competition called “satisfying catches” and an NFL team game show called “helmet harmony” that was a bit like “The Newlywed Game.”
