NFL in another major TV ratings blow as Pro Bowl viewers falls nearly 20 per cent following playoff losses
Fans are hardly paying any attention to the NFL Pro Bowl.
Even the Pro Bowl is susceptible to the NFL’s declining viewership.
In 2025, for the third year in a row, fewer people watched the Pro Bowl games.
Front Office Sports reports that only 4.7 million people watched the all-star tournament on ABC, ESPN, and DisneyXD.
The broadcast on Sunday included skill-based activities, including a flag football game.

The Pro Bowl saw an almost 20 percent decline in viewership between 2024 and 2025, with a difference of over one million viewers.
4.7 million people watched this year, compared to about 5.75 million last year.
The first year of the flag-football format, the 2023 games, drew 6.2 million viewers.
Only 6.7 million people saw the last tackle football game, which took place in 2022.
This year, even the number of people who saw the Pro Bowl in person decreased.
54,313 spectators were present at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. The space can accommodate more than 60,000 people.
55,709 individuals went to the Pro Bowl last year.
The skills competition on Thursday night did not suffer as much as the main event.
The skills competition was the second most watched since 2018 with little over 1.1 million viewers on ESPN.
Despite low ratings, the NFL probably won’t change the flag football model.
This is due to flag football’s debut during the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Mike Evans, 31, of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is one of the many NFL players who would like to play in those games.
“This is good practice for me in the Olympics,” Evans stated.
By 2028, I’ll probably be retired. What is the number of years? Three years? I’m not sure.
