NFL refuse to make major broadcasting change for Cowboys-Bengals from MNF despite awful records for live TV reason

Because of a Simpsons alt-cast, the NFL is unable to broadcast the Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals.

The lackluster competition is set for December 14 in prime time.

TV executives may have hoped for more appeal from the matchup, but the Cowboys are 3-7 on the season and the Bengals are hardly better at 4-7.

But it won’t be pulled out of the slot machine for a more visually pleasing game.

The Simpsons game has been chosen for an alt-cast, which will air on DisneyPlus and ESPN Plus.

The show with a Springfield theme has already aired a trailer, in which Homer Simpson supports the Cowboys and Bart supports the Bengals. Stephen A. Smith, Peyton, and Eli Manning are all scheduled to make cameos.

The game cannot be flexed out for another match since the alt-cast has already undergone too much development, according to Bengals beat writer Jay Morrison.

“For those asking, the Bengals-Cowboys MNF game is not eligible to be flexed out because of all the drawings, voiceovers and other work that has been done forThe Simpsonsalt-cast that will air that night,” he posted to X.

The teaser said that “Football fans and Simpsons nerds finally come together to watch the game live from Springfield.” It was released earlier this week.

ESPN has previously produced alt-casts of this type.

To target a younger audience, network executives are eager to deploy alt-casts like these.

However, more casual NFL viewers are unlikely to find the Cowboys vs. Bengals game particularly compelling.

With Dallas 3-7, questions about head coach Mike McCarthy’s future have persisted.

At the end of this season, his contract will expire, and former Cowboy Michael Irvin has called for Deion Sanders to take over.

However, Sanders has not expressed interest in the possible post.

‘I’M HAPPY WHERE I AM’

The Colorado Buffaloes presently have the 57-year-old as their head coach.

The words “I’m happy where I am, man,” were his words. “I’ve mastered a kickstand.

“Are you familiar with what a kickstand is? That indicates that I’m sleeping. I’m doing well, content, and eager.

“I’m excited about my current position. I genuinely adore this place.”
