NFL set for major broadcast change with three nationally-televised games over Christmas period to be announced
Over the Christmas break, the NFL is expected to make a significant broadcasting and scheduling announcement.
There are currently five Week 17 games without a set date and time.
Additionally, league officials will shortly reveal the dates of the games in the penultimate week of the regular season.
There are currently five games listed as “TBC” on the NFL schedule for Week 17.
On December 28, three of them will appear in a Saturday tripleheader on NFL Network.
The remaining two will be played as part of the seven games that are currently scheduled for Sunday.

The games that have the highest playoff implications will be chosen by the NFL and shown nationally on Saturday.
With both clubs in contention for the NFC playoffs, the Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders game now appears to be the most notable matchup.
The NFC West division championship could possibly be at stake in the Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams game.
The Los Angeles Chargers play the New England Patriots, and the Denver Broncos also play the Cincinnati Bengals.
Los Angeles and Denver are both in the AFC playoff picture going into December.
The Indianapolis Colts will play the New York Giants in the other game.
It will be the second of three consecutive Saturdays featuring nationally televised live games once the fixtures are confirmed.
After the college football regular season concludes, the NFL frequently schedules Saturday games in December.
There will be a doubleheader on NBC and Fox on Saturday, December 21.
At 1 pm ET, the Houston Texans play the Kansas City Chiefs, and at 4.30 pm ET, the Baltimore Ravens play the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In her hometown of Houston, Texas, Beyonce will perform at the game’s halftime show.
As usual, Prime also features a Thursday Night Football game.
On Thursday, December 26, the Seattle Seahawks play the Chicago Bears.

Additionally, the Detroit Lions will play the San Francisco 49ers in a repeat of the NFC Championship Game from the previous year in the final game of the calendar year.
