No. 24 Michigan beats Oregon 80-76 for 3rd straight victory, handing Ducks 4th loss in a row

Ann Arbor, MI-ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — No. 24 Michigan held off Oregon 80-76 on Wednesday night thanks to a season-high 17 points from Will Tschetter, 10 of his 15 points from Danny Wolf in the first half, and nine of his 15 points from Vladislav Goldin after halftime.

After three consecutive victories, the Wolverines (17-5, 9-2 Big Ten) are now tied for second place in the conference rankings with No. 9 Michigan State, one spot behind No. 7 Purdue. This is the first time since the 2013–2014 season that the Ducks (16-7, 5-7) have dropped four straight games.

With eighteen points, Jackson Shelstad led Oregon. TJ Bamba scored 13 points, Keeshawn Barthelemy contributed 15, and Nate Bittle had 16.

The Wolverines had fallen down, but Wolf led an 11-0 rally in the first half that put them ahead by double digits.

After the Ducks rallied, Michigan had to score free throws late to win the game after leading 14 points in the first half.

Oregon: The Ducks have lost five of their previous six games after being 13-1 and finishing in the top 10 for three weeks in December after defeating AP Top 25 foes Alabama and Texas A&M.

Michigan: The Wolverines are 11-0 at home in the opening month of the season. Next week, when they play Purdue at home, the perfect record will be put to the test.
