NYC Fashion Icon, 50, Found Dead In Home With Scarf Tied Around Neck: Investigators
DEBARYLIFE – This week, a fashion designer from Brooklyn was discovered dead inside her residence with a scarf around her neck, according to law enforcement officials on Friday.
The sources stated that when Svitlana Indelicato, 50, her husband claimed to have discovered her inside a room in the Bensonhurst home on 80th Street near 16th Avenue and contacted the police around five in the morning on Thursday, she was unconscious and unresponsive. Svitlana made handbags in addition to scarves and Pashmina shawls.
The sources claimed that she had a scarf wrapped around her neck.
After EMS arrived, Indelicato was declared dead at the spot, according to the police.
Her injuries were classified by the NYPD as “trauma” to the neck.
The city’s medical examiner’s office will formally ascertain how she passed away; no arrests have been made.
Indelicato offered scarves on ScarfObsession and purses on VitalTemptation, her Etsy shop.
“While creating my designs, I work with wool, silk, and other natural fibers using very unique and almost forgotten techniques,” Indelicato stated in her LinkedIn bio.
“I work with felting, an old-fashioned textile art form where a unique piece is created by working with wool, warm, soapy water, and rolling, squeezing, and rubbing.”
