NYPD Investigates Fatal Shooting: 30-Year-Old Man Dead, Another Wounded In Brownsville
DEBARYLIFE – The NYPD reports that late on Saturday night, a shooting occurred on Pitkin Avenue between Osborn and Watkins streets that resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man and the recovery of a 28-year-old.
When police arrived at the site after 11 p.m., they discovered that the 30-year-old had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest. The 28-year-old suffered a hand wound from a bullet.
The 30-year-old was declared deceased at the hospital after they were both taken there.
Regarding a motive for the shooting, the NYPD has not yet released a statement. There are no arrests on record.

The NYPD reports that 23 persons have been shot in Brownsville so far this year.
“People act as though they don’t care, there’s nothing to do here, it’s just the same old, same old all day, every day,” a resident of Brownsville remarked.
It all appears dilapidated and devoid of promise. This is what happens when people are left with nothing to do.”
