Ocean’s Eleven star dead – George Clooney leads tributes to wrestler turned actor Scott L Schwartz after he dies aged 65

Actor Scott L. Schwartz passed away in his Louisiana home at the age of 65.

Previously a professional wrestler, Schwartz gained notoriety for his roles in the Ocean’s Eleven movie franchise with Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

He played the strongman who assisted the band of robbers in Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Ocean’s Twelve (2004), and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007).

According to his representative, the 6′ 10″ star passed away in Covington from congestive heart failure.

Clooney praised Schwartz, calling him a “gentle soul” in his tribute.

“I’m sorry to hear that Scott is gone,” he said.

“I’ve never been hit so tenderly in my life, and we worked on three movies together.

“He was a gentle soul and he will be dearly missed.”
