If Day leads the Buckeyes to their first national championship since 2014, he will receive a cool $1 million.

Even if they lose, he will still receive $500,000 for making it to the national championship game.

Additionally, he has already earned $350,000 for making it to the semifinals.

Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith’s game-changing play was the cornerstone of the Buckeyes’ triumph.

During the New Year’s Day thrashing, Smith caught seven catches for 187 yards and two scores.

The 19-year-old won the game MVP award for his performance.

The Florida native Smith was the top recruit in the 2024 class, and he has lived up to the expectations.

With 1,224 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, he is sixth in the nation.
