Olympic silver medallist Amber Rutter has bag stolen on train… just months after new mum was ROBBED of gold medal
After her suitcase was stolen on a train, Olympian Amber Rutter of TEAM GB made a social media appeal.
The heartbreaking news was posted on social media this afternoon by the 27-year-old, who took home silver in the skeet at the Summer Olympics in Paris.
“I just had all of my belongings stolen on my train back from Manchester Piccadilly to Reading,” she posted on Instagram.
“Including my Cartridge necklace, which my grandfather gave me when I was twelve years old and just came off last night when I broke the chain.
“I am genuinely heartbroken.
“If anyone is able to help in any way I would be truly grateful.”
After finishing second in the Olympic women’s skeet race this year, Rutter became well-known in Paris.
After a tiebreaker, she lost controversially to Francisca Crovetto of Chile for the gold.
Despite being found to have missed one of her two shots, the sport shooter maintained that she had not.
She had clipped the skeet, according to replays, but Olympic regulations prevented rulings from being reviewed.

After being disqualified from the Tokyo Olympics due to a positive coronavirus test, Rutter became the first British woman to win an Olympic medal in skeet.
Four months after giving birth to her first child, she accomplished the feat.
