Palworld’s latest update causes multiple issues for players and it could be because of Nintendo

People have started comparing PALWORLD to Pok mon, which has caused controversy even before it was published.

When it was eventually released, many realized that, because the two games are from different genres, Palworld and Nintendo’s Creature Collector had very little in common.

Although Pok Mon is an RPG and Palworld is a survival crafting game, there are some similarities between the two games’ animals.

Although the cause for the action was not disclosed at the time, Nintendo has filed a patent lawsuit against Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld.

Since then, Pocketpair has asserted that the three patents that Palworld is allegedly violating pertain to the balls that capture and release animals as well as the motion of the critters.

The most contentious aspect of Palworld’s narrative has been the most recent upgrade, version 0.3.11.

The following was written in the patch notes: Player-owned Pals are now always summoned close to the player.

It seems that this modification was done to provide a clear distinction between the release of Pals and Pok mon.

However, because the patch appears to have produced game-breaking issues, users have conjectured that Pocketpair hastened its release.

Players reported the problems on social media right away, claiming to have received a reaction from the staff on Discord.

One Reddit user posted: One of the employees on Palword’s Discord general discussion board bluntly stated that, in his view, players ought to switch to another game until the major December patch.

Though Pocketpair is currently working to address these new concerns, there were rumors that the patch was hurried to comply with the lawsuit.

The issue with pals cutting into the geometry has previously been resolved by another patch.

Although this was a tiny patch, it seems that Pocketpair is already developing a larger patch to address every issue.

Nintendo has a reputation for being quite litigious and has filed numerous lawsuits, cease and desist orders, and takedown notices throughout the years.

Nintendo has now changed its stance on DMCA notices for Let’s Play videos of their games.

Nevertheless, the firm continues to work to stop Nintendo-related things like emulators and mods.

Apart from a few creature designs, I think Palworld is a completely separate game from Pokmon, and small developers’ rights to refine larger companies’ concepts should be safeguarded.
